Approach to Care

Every evaluation begins with a thorough history and physical examination. Imaging is ordered when it will change the clinical decision, not as a routine step. Patients receive a clear explanation of their diagnosis, a realistic assessment of their options, and a direct recommendation.

Not every spine problem requires surgery. Many conditions respond well to conservative management including physical therapy, medication, and targeted injections. Surgery is recommended only when there is a correctable structural problem and a meaningful opportunity to improve pain, function, or quality of life.

When surgery is appropriate, Dr. Blythe uses endoscopic and minimally invasive techniques that accomplish complete decompression or stabilization while avoiding unnecessary disruption of normal muscles and supporting structures.
